- Ok, I know there are times when the OS is not enough. I was
- developing an AGA game some time ago myself, and found some
- shortcomings in the OS. I could not find any support in the OS
- short of installing my own user-copperlist. I was not a
- registered developer and didn't know about the specialfx.library
- at the time. It would have come in handy.

- However, I think that in most situations there are no excuses
- for not using the OS. There is no need for bashing the hardware
- to, for example, open a screen or setting up an interrupt.

- Why go through all the trouble, when you could use the OS? That
- way you DON'T have to figure out diwstart/stop values etc. The
- OS takes care of it for you.
